POLYCHECK: Drug Interaction Checker for Autoimmune Rheumatic Disease Polypharmacy
We implement a drug interaction checker focused on medications commonly used in autoimmune rheumatic diseases: methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, leflunomide, sulfasalazine, azathioprine, mycophenolate, cyclophosphamide, tacrolimus, biologics, JAK inhibitors, NSAIDs, and glucocorticoids. Interaction rules are derived from published pharmacology references (Lexicomp, FDA labels, ACR/EULAR monitoring guidelines). The tool flags pairwise interactions with severity ratings and monitoring recommendations. This is a guideline implementation tool, not original pharmacology research.
POLYCHECK
What it is
Pairwise drug interaction checker for rheumatology polypharmacy, implementing published interaction data.
Coverage
DMARDs (conventional + targeted synthetic), biologics, JAK inhibitors, NSAIDs, glucocorticoids, common co-medications.
Not original research
Interaction rules from FDA labels, Lexicomp, and published monitoring guidelines.
Limitations
- Rule-based, not pharmacokinetic modeling
